About Mandala View Exclusive
Mandala View sits on a beautiful plot of land 1,000 meters from, and with direct views of the Borobudur temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Indonesia's most famous national icon.
Featuring five-meter overhanging balconies and roofs, the architecture was inspired by German architect, Richard Meyer and consulted with Gregorius Supie Yolodi, who is best known for the award winning Papillon Glass Building in South Jakarta. The two-storey L-shaped building is a confluence of art and nature, allowing for interaction between spaces.
The expansive grounds were designed to be both a botanical garden, with a vast array of indigenous plants, and a sculpture garden featuring some of the larger sculptures in the collection as highlights, complementing the art within the main house.
Designed by Emmo Italiaander, an internationally renowned photographer, the interior is a fusion of complementing styles that accentuates and juxtapose the world-class design, high-end Italian furniture and fine art collection alongside the rich heritage of Javanese culture. The large living spaces, high ceilings, wrap around balconies, and a multitude of tall windows allow for panoramic views of rice fields, the Borobudur temple as well as the mountains and volcanoes beyond.
Upon arrival at the main gate, an intricately carved teakwood Joglo pavillion doubles as an impressive reception hall. The foyer flanked by two large reflecting pools leads to a five by twenty-meter salt water swimming pool. An architectural statement, Mandala View is for the ongoing collection of life.
